Interesting Etsy Artist of the Day
My favorite Etsy artist today is Zadyball! I'm planning on getting one of these adorable toys for my little girl for Christmas and I know she will love the knotted strings that are attached. It also looks like a toy that she will have a fun time playing with for years to come!

Youtube
I've been a little behind lately on writing in my blog. I'm preparing for several craft shows in the next couple of months and working on Christmas orders already. I have started posting things on YouTube and I'm trying to think of fun videos that I would add to my list. I only have video with my camera. Actually, I have a great camcorder, but my computer isn't advanced enough for it. Go figure! If you think of ideas that I could video blog on YouTube, I'd love to know! Hopefully, I'll be able to blog more frequently now that I'm into the week!

Interesting Etsy Artist of the Day
Today my favorite Etsy artist makes baby and toddler headbands, Luh Loo. My little girl has two of these and they are just too adorable for little girls! For little babies she has the soft stretchy headbands or sweet little knit hats. For toodlers she has the harder sturdier bands and all include intricate hand-crafted felt flowers. If you have a little girl in your life, she needs one or more of these accessories!
Out of Town
I've been out of town the past few days getting work done. But I should be able to catch my blog up tonight!

Daily Highlight Sketch
The highlight of my day was watching Anna react to her Grandpa Randy! It was a "who is this weird man" kind of look. Very funny!
Interesting Etsy Artist of the Day
Today my interesting artist is someone I have worked with just recently! I bought two of the fingerless gloves from her and they are fabulous! Katwise sells upcycled sweater fingerless gloves and awesome coats that are bright and so much fun! I am definately going to get one sometime soon!

Once again, I'm writing about an artist that I have previously done business with! Daily Highlight Sketch
The highlight of my day was receiving the gorey neck piece from noircoremedia for my dad's Halloween costume! It's really gross. AWESOME!
Interesting Etsy Artist of the Day
Today my interesting Etsy artist is also someone I have personally worked with. I asked for a custom designed necklace of a pink orchid. She created a beautiful piece for me that I wear most days! Today, my artist is LuLu Bug Jewelry. As always, the seller does not know of my blog or my feature of her work! Check out her stuff!
Blog At Last
Well, it only took me about a month to figure it out, but I believe I have FINALLY got my blog to look like I want it to! I had to search for many pages that talked about HTML and I found one that really helped me out! I still want to add more and get things to look really fantastic, but this isn't bad for a person who is ignorant about web design! I'm really excited about this and I already picked my favorite artist for the day! I'll be writing about that later!

Interesting Etsy Artist of the Day
Every day, I'm going to start blogging about an interesting artist that I have found on Etsy. Just to talk about something other than my own work! These are people that I have picked randomly and they do not know that I am blogging about their shop. The very first artist I want to mention is someone that I have worked with several times with outstanding results, noircoremedia . He runs a Fabrication, special effects, and molding and casting shop. I have personally received a human skin mask and a torso that I have shown in this blog. If you need something awesome for Halloween, he's your guy!

A Handmade Christmas
I love this idea! I am solely buying handmade items this year for my family. I am also creating a few gifts of my own in the mix! I have always disliked how commercialized the holidays have become and this is my way of getting back to the true meaning of Christmas. Or at least, one of the true meanings! My gifts this year are going to be filled with thought, time, and love. I encourage you to do the same!

Shows, Events, and Festivals
My calender is really starting to fill up! This Saturday (October 10th) I am setting up at an Artist's Walk in downtown Celina, OH. It will last from noon till eight in the evening. I'm really hoping for good weather! The following Sunday (October 18th), I will be setting up at St. Marys' Fall Festival Walk With Nature. They are having a Farmer's Market on the covered bridge from noon till four in the afternoon. It sounds like a good time with a Chili Cook-Off, beer taste testing, and local music groups performing! Then the first Saturday of November (the 7th), I think that I am setting up at the 2009 Charity League Arts & Crafts Festival at Sidney High School. I know for a fact that their cafeteria and big gym are completely full! Lastly, on November 21st, I will be in Piqua, Ohio at the Learning Place for a fall bazaar. I'll keep you posted on any details I get!

Gearing Up To Walk
I've been getting ready for an artist's walk that I am setting up at this upcoming Saturday. I am right on the corner of two busy streets, so hopefully I and my fellow artists will draw a crowd! I think that my contact said that at least thirty artists will be there showing off their skills. I can't wait to see what every one has to offer. The walk starts at noon and lasts till eight in the evening in downtown Celina, Ohio. I'll be at the corner of Market and Main, right in front of A Bloom Flowers and Gifts! Stop in and see me!

Starting a Blog
I am very excited to be doing what I am doing now! I am officially a full time artist and stay at home mom. I have been drawing in charcoal since my Junior year in high school and drawing supported me through those years. After high school, I had to set my art slightly to the side while I worked full time. So through many years I simply drew for friends and family. Now that my husband and I have a little girl, and he has insurance, I can stay at home and work on my dream! I have always wanted to be able to draw for people for a living. I also would like to one day own my own gallery. I am well on my way to accomplishing these goals! Thanks to the love and support of my family, my in-laws, and my husband, I truly believe that these dreams will come true!
